Web Gate Installation

Follow the instructions below to install the Vijeo Web Gate ActiveX Control.

Install the necessary files from the installation DVD. <DVD drive:>\Tools\Web Gate Client Files\Web_Gate_Client_Files.exe

Or


1. Download the control by clicking the following link:
   
   Web Gate Installer
   
   
2. Click Run when you see the dialog, "Do you want to run or save this file?"
   
   
3. Click Run if you see the dialog, "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?"
   
   
4. Click Finish when you see the message, "InstallShield Wizard Complete".
   

For Windows Vista and Windows 7, you must configure the local security policies to allow installation of the Web Gate ActiveX control. To configure the local policies:

1. In the command prompt, run secpol.msc.
   
   
2. In the Local Security Settings dialog, expand the Local Policies folder.
   
   
3. Select Security Options.
   
   
4. Disable User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode.
   
   
5. Restart your PC.
   

Web Gate Client files automatically install when a client PC connects through Web Gate to a target. However, you must manually install the Web Gate Client file on the client PC if:

Target does not support CF Cards/SD Cards

Or

Target’s Web Server data location is set to Main Drive

Follow the instructions below to manually install the Web Gate Client Files.

1. From the Vijeo Designer Installation DVD, run Web_Gate_Client_Files.exe from:
   <DVD Root:>\Tools\Web Gate Client Files\Web_Gate_Client_Files.exe
   
   
2. Follow the Web Gate Client Files Installation wizard to install the client files onto the client computer.
